A shower door is superior to a shower curtain for several reasons. Not only is a door more aesthetically pleasing, but it will give your bathroom a spacious look and feel and a modern appearance. Unlike shower curtains, shower doors are also easy to clean and won’t become unusable over time due to mold or mildew buildup. Shower doors also eliminate water getting splashed onto your bathroom floors while you’re showering. Additionally, a shower door prevents cold drafts while showering.
While you can always hire a professional to clean your shower glass doors, there are a few easy steps you can take to do it yourself. Below, we’ve outlined the step-by-step process:
- Get the shower glass wet.
- Fill a spray bottle with vinegar and use it to saturate the glass.
- Allow the vinegar to soak for at least 10 minutes.
- Dip a scrub sponge into baking soda and then scrub the glass.
- Once the glass looks clean, rinse it with fresh water.
- Dry the glass with a microfiber cloth.
Use glass cleaner to finish cleaning the glass. We recommend using a non-ammonia glass cleaner.
Additionally, we have other products to help with cleaning. Contact us to find out more.

On rare occasions, tile can crack during installation. There are things you can do or watch for to help prevent this.
The main reason for a tile to chip or crack is because it was installed improperly to begin with. If the tile does not have a solid backing of mortar/thin-set and there are air pockets or voids, it can crack when we are putting pressure while drilling. Be sure your contractor takes their time and utilizes the proper backing and mudding, especially along the wall where the door will be hinged.
There may come a time when you need windshield replacement for your vehicle. If you have car insurance, it’s worth reporting an auto glass claim to your insurance company. Talk to your insurance company about your options – you may only need repairs depending on your situation.
Prescott Glass & Mirror specialists consider a few factors when determining if your best option is windshield repair or replacement: size, location, and time span. Though there are a few exceptions, chips larger than a quarter and cracks generally require windshield replacement, and cracks that have splintered to the edge of the windshield typically require replacement due to their tendency to spread. If the chip or crack is directly in your line of vision, it will typically require replacement, too, since the repair does not always cure clearly, leaving a slight outline in the repair area. Additionally, the longer you wait to address any chips or cracks, the more likely dirt and debris will build up in the area. This makes it difficult to perform a successful repair, so it often requires a full replacement.
If a rock hits your windshield, depending on its size and the speed at which it and your vehicle were traveling at the moment of impact, the rock can either crack or break your windshield. As one of your vehicle’s most important safety features, windshields are essential for safe driving. A chipped, cracked, or broken windshield should be repaired as soon as possible to prevent further damage to your vehicle and to ensure safe driving on the road.
Windshield repairs take about 45 minutes or less.
It typically takes 1-2 hours at the most to replace your windshield. Our auto glass technicians work diligently to complete the replacement as quickly and safely as possible.

Whether it’s caused by exposure to water, excess heat, or it’s just old age, no one likes fogged windows. Luckily, fogged glass repair and fogged glass replacement services are available. The best thing to do for fogged windows is to replace them, but if you want to try and save your old windows, there are several ways in which you can try and fix them. The best fogged glass window repair options are replacing the IGU unit or trying a defogging spray.
When your double pane windows become cloudy or foggy, it is likely due to a broken deal. This can allow unwanted moisture into the otherwise sealed windows. Double pane windows have a layer of gas separating their panes and acting as insulation. When this seal breaks, moisture accumulates inside and can cause your double pane windows to become cloudy.
It is very dangerous to carry glass with shoe coverings or booties on. Glass is a heavy product. The grip on shoes helps our installers better handle it safely. However, we do everything to ensure a clean work environment during and after the project.
Yes, Low-E glass works in all seasons. In the winter, it keeps heat inside by reducing the amount of heat escaping through the glass and can help to lower heating bills. Low-E glass also reduces the amount of direct heat that enters through the glass. By reducing the solar heat, it can help with your cooling costs.
Most of the time your windows can be installed from the outside. Even though this is the case, our team will need interior access when installing your windows/doors and complete any interior finish work, such as caulking or trim that may need to be done.
